In planetary astronomy, a centaur is a small Solar System body with either a perihelion or a semi-major axis between those of the outer planets (between Jupiter and Neptune). Centaurs typically exhibit the characteristics of both asteroids and comets. They are named after the mythological centaurs that were a mixture of horse and human.
31824 Elatus is a very red centaur from the outer Solar System. It was discovered on 29 October 1999. The minor planet was named after Elatus, a centaur from Greek mythology.

Firefighters from the Argyle-Adams Volunteer Fire Department rescued a dog after it fell through some ice on Saturday morning.

The Tribal Huk gang are now feeding close to 1,000 children at Waikato schools on a daily basis. The Ngaruawahia-based group have been feeding hungry school kids for four years and have steadily increased the number of sandwiches they supply.

The first trans-Neptunian object to be discovered was Pluto in 1930. It took until 1992 to discover a second trans-Neptunian object orbiting the Sun directly, 15760 Albion. The most massive TNO known is Eris, followed by Pluto, Haumea, Makemake, and Gonggong.
20000 Varuna is a large trans-Neptunian object in the Kuiper belt. It was discovered on 28 November 2000. It is named after the Hindu deity Varuna, one of the oldest deities mentioned in the Vedic texts.

Four spears taken during Captain James Cook's landing at Sydney's Botany Bay will be handed back to the local Indigenous community more than 250 years later.

On Wednesday afternoons, after the final bell of the day, a cement-walled classroom in the impoverished Nairobi neighborhood of Kibera is transformed into a ballet studio. The room is cleared of its benches and desks. The dust and dirt on the floor is swept away. A group of about 20 girls wearing blue, pink and purple ballet clothes wait for Mike Wamaya, their instructor, to arrive with his boom box and good-natured personality. Then, with classical music in the air, the girls begin to dance.

Recently, we videotaped it with new monkeys who'd never done the task, thinking that maybe they would have a stronger reaction, and that turned out to be right. The one on the left is the monkey who gets cucumber. The one on the right is the one who gets grapes. The one who gets cucumber — note that the first piece of cucumber is perfectly fine. The first piece she eats. Then she sees the other one getting grape, and you will see what happens. So she gives a rock to us. That's the task. And we give her a piece of cucumber and she eats it. The other one needs to give a rock to us. And that's what she does. And she gets a grape... and eats it. The other one sees that. She gives a rock to us now, gets, again, cucumber.

Asteroid
An asteroid is a minor planet that orbits within the inner Solar System. They are rocky, metallic or icy bodies with no atmosphere. Sizes and shapes of asteroids vary significantly, ranging from 1-meter rocks to a dwarf planet almost 1000 km in diameter. Of the roughly one million known asteroids the greatest number are located between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter.
2 Pallas is the third-largest asteroid in the Solar System by volume and mass. It is the second asteroid to have been discovered, after Ceres, and is a likely remnant protoplanet. Pallas is an epithet of the Greek goddess Athena. In some versions of the myth, Athena killed Pallas, daughter of Triton, then adopted her friend's name out of mourning.
